Liquid Facelift
The facelift without surgery
The liquid facelift can safely be called groundbreaking. It is the first facelift using fillers that serves as an excellent alternative to the well-known surgical facelift for sagging skin. During a liquid facelift, the doctors at Dikrama Clinics firm the skin using hyaluronic acid-based fillers. This minimizes existing skin damage and improves the skin structure.
The change in the face after a Liquid facelift is subtle, yet you will be showered with compliments. A liquid facelift provides a true glow, making the skin tighter and more radiant.
When you feel that your appearance no longer matches how you feel inside, a liquid facelift can be the perfect solution. This treatment restores mild to moderate sagging in the face. With a liquid facelift, wrinkles and folds become less visible, and contours are sharpened once again. And all this without risky surgery. Where skin used to be cut away for a lifting result, the doctors at Dikrama Clinics use fillers to restore volume. No scalpels involved! A liquid facelift offers beautiful results without scarring.
Which liquid facelift suits you best will be discussed during the free intake. Based on your wishes, we will create a customized treatment plan.

The process of the hyaluronic acid filler treatment
-
Before the treatment
Start taking Arnica drops 5 days before the treatment (10 drops 3x a day) to prevent bruising.
-
After the treatment
The injected area can be cooled after the treatment; cool packs are available at the clinic. Exercise is not permitted for up to four hours after the treatment. On the day of the treatment: no makeup on the injected area. Do not massage the injected skin. Do not use the sauna for up to three days after the treatment. Do not undergo intensive facial (skincare) treatments, such as laser, peeling, or scrubbing, in the first two weeks. Avoid the sun and do not use tanning beds for the first week after the treatment. Always use a cream with SPF.
-
Recovery time
This filler treatment leaves little to no trace. After a liquid facelift treatment, there is a chance of slight swelling and some bruising in the first few days. Fortunately, the swelling only lasts a few days. One day after the treatment, you may cover any bruising with makeup.
-
Result duration
On average, you can enjoy the results of a liquid facelift for 12 months.
Safety
Hyaluronic acid is one of the building blocks of the skin. It ensures better hydration and elasticity of the skin. The body recognizes hyaluronic acid, making the chance of an allergic or foreign body reaction to a hyaluronic acid filler extremely small.
If a small accumulation or asymmetry occurs in the face after the treatment, you don’t need to worry. This can often be massaged away. Furthermore, hyaluronic acid is the only filler that can be actively dissolved. We provide you with a customized result and can dissolve any excess filler with Hyason if necessary.
The doctors at Dikrama Clinics are BIG-registered (members of the NVDV, NVCD, and NHG) and only use A-brand wrinkle fillers.
Safety is one of the most important criteria we use to select our wrinkle fillers.
The brands used by Dikrama Clinics have been on the market for decades, and between 5 and 40 million treatments have already been performed with these brands. These large numbers indicate that the chance of unexpected complications is very small. Additionally, Petra Dikrama has experience treating filler complications at the filler complication clinic at Erasmus MC.

Frequently asked questions
The difference between a regular facelift and a liquid facelift is that a regular facelift always involves cutting the skin. In a regular facelift, the doctor cuts away a piece of skin to create the desired lifting result. A liquid facelift treatment consists of injecting a temporary filler to create more volume. During an intake consultation, you will receive personalized advice.
Our doctors can assess whether you need a full liquid facelift during the free intake consultation. For moderate to severe skin sagging, a full liquid facelift may be the solution. For mild to moderate sagging, a so-called ‘mini-lift’ is sometimes a better and more affordable option. The difference between these two treatments is the number of milliliters the doctor will use.
We regularly hear that people are afraid of a puffy face.
‘Puffy’ faces are caused by the incorrect use of fillers. The doctors at Dikrama Clinics have a great deal of experience and work according to the ‘less is more’ philosophy. During the free intake, our doctors check if you are suitable for a liquid facelift and assess the quality of your skin. Dikrama Clinics provides you with honest and personal advice.
A liquid facelift is a treatment using only fillers. A liquid facelift is always performed with hyaluronic acid.
This varies greatly per person. We have clients who return to the office the next day with only slight swelling. However, it is also possible that you may experience some bruising for a few days. On average, any bruising begins to subside after two to three days.
