Sweating keeps your body temperature stable. Everyone perspires, but some more intensely than others. Do you suffer from excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis), wet patches in your clothing, or a persistent unpleasant sweat odor? A Botox (Botulinum Toxin) treatment for the underarms can provide the solution.
A hyperhidrosis treatment with Botox is over before you know it. After you have completed a health declaration and a treatment agreement, we will start immediately. The areas to be treated are marked out, and thirteen to twenty-five small injections are given per underarm. The Botox blocks the nerves that control the sweat glands, causing sweat production to stop.
You will sweat little to not at all under your arms within two days to two weeks after the treatment.
If you are still sweating excessively after two weeks, feel free to come by for a check-up and a possible follow-up treatment.

The Botox treatment process

Before the treatment
We ask you to shave your underarms a few days in advance so that we can properly mark the treatment area.

After the treatment
Exercise is not permitted for up to four hours after the treatment.

Recovery time
In almost all cases, nothing is visible at the site treated with Botox. Very occasionally, redness, swelling, or small bruises may occur after the hyperhidrosis treatment.

Duration of results
After the first treatment, you will enjoy the benefits of a Botox anti-perspiration treatment for three to six months. After multiple treatments, this period increases to an average of six to nine months.

Frequently asked questions
Theoretically, you always need to release the same amount of heat to regulate your body temperature. Since the underarms only cover 1% of the total body surface, you won’t notice the rest of the body sweating 1% more.
There are no specific risks associated with this treatment.
Between two days and two weeks after the treatment, you will sweat little to not at all under the arms. How long this lasts varies per person. Over the months, perspiration gradually increases. We recommend a follow-up treatment after four to nine months.
As long as you no longer sweat, unpleasant odors will also be absent.
Yes, you should repeat this treatment. However, the period between treatments can become longer over time. In some cases, for example when sweating is stress-related, repetition is not necessary once the mental cause has been addressed. Often, there is also a case of so-called ‘anxiety sweat.’ If you lose this anxiety through the Botox treatment, it is not always necessary to repeat the procedure.
