About the treatment
After photos have been taken for your personal file, a treatment agreement has been signed, and your general health has been mapped out by the doctor, the cheekbone area is treated with an anesthetic cream.
The cheekbone treatment takes no longer than a few minutes. The treatment consists of only five to ten injections. After giving the injections, the doctor massages the treated area. Afterwards, there is still time to cool the cheekbones with a cooling element from the clinic.

Before the treatment
For a cheekbone filler treatment, it is advisable to take Arnica drops (max. dosage) five days before the treatment.

After the treatment
You can cool the treated area immediately. It is important to stay out of the sun for three days after the treatment (no tanning beds or saunas either). Use a daily sun protection factor with a good SPF after the treatment. Our doctors advise not to undergo intensive treatments at a beautician in the first two weeks. We look forward to seeing you again for a check-up appointment after two weeks.

Recovery time
After a cheekbone filler treatment, some swelling may occur, but in the vast majority of cases, no traces of the treatment are visible. In some cases, a small bruise may develop, which you can simply camouflage a few hours after the treatment.

Result duration
The final result of a cheekbone treatment is usually clearly visible after two weeks. On average, hyaluronic acid breaks down gradually over 12 months. A follow-up treatment can take place after 12 months.
Safety
Hyaluronic acid is one of the building blocks of the skin. It ensures better hydration and elasticity of the skin. The body recognizes hyaluronic acid, making the chance of an allergic or foreign body reaction to a hyaluronic acid filler extremely small. If a small accumulation or asymmetry has arisen in the face after the treatment, there is no reason for concern. This can usually be massaged away easily. Furthermore, hyaluronic acid is the only filler that can be actively dissolved. We provide all our clients with a customized result and can dissolve any excess filler with Hyason if necessary.

In consultation with the doctor, you can also choose to treat the temples. Treating the temples as well creates a beautiful lifting effect.
Filling the cheekbones and potentially the temples provides a lifting effect on the upper part of the face. This comes with the ‘free’ additional effect that the nasolabial fold often becomes slightly less deep.
If you want a lifting effect on the lower part of the face, the marionette lines often need to be treated as well. However, creating a full lifting effect on the lower part of the face is difficult and unfortunately not always possible. During the free intake consultation, you can discuss all possibilities with a doctor from Dikrama Clinics.
