About the treatment
The treatment is extremely simple. The doctors at Dikrama Clinics inject Profhilo® into the skin, after which it spreads naturally to the surrounding skin. For facial treatment, a distribution of 2 ml over 10 points (5 per side of the face) is sufficient. This treatment is also ideal for other areas with skin laxity and aging, such as the neck, décolletage, and nipples. The treatment frequency is approximately once every 6 months, though more frequent sessions are always possible. Minimally invasive, a quick total beauty boost!
The Profhilo® treatment is an extremely safe procedure with a very natural result. This treatment is truly recommended for everyone: for women and men, for young (preventative) and mature skin, for healthy skin and in case of skin conditions, for dry and oilier skin types. Before the treatment
In principle, anesthesia is not necessary for a Profhilo® treatment. We apply a fast-acting numbing spray to the skin beforehand. You can start taking Arnica drops (10 drops, 3 times a day) 5 days before the treatment to help prevent bruising (not strictly necessary).

After the treatment
The practitioner will massage the injected area to help the fluid spread better. The skin can be cooled after the treatment; cool packs are available at the clinic. Exercise is not permitted for up to four hours after the treatment. Do not apply makeup to the injected area on the day of the treatment. Avoid saunas for up to three days after the treatment. You are welcome to massage the injected skin yourself.

Recovery time
A treatment with Profhilo® leaves little to no trace. Immediately after the treatment, (red) bumps may be visible at the injection sites. Most redness and bumps disappear within 30 minutes. Some bumps may be visible or palpable for a bit longer and usually disappear within 24 - 48 hours. There is also a small chance of a bruise. You may camouflage this with makeup the day after the treatment. It is not necessary to take time off work or avoid social activities for a Profhilo® treatment.

Result duration
On average, you can enjoy the stunning results of this treatment for 6 months. The duration of the result can vary per person, as everyone is different. The doctors at Dikrama Clinics advise repeating the first treatment after 1 month and then maintaining a treatment frequency of 6 months. More frequent sessions are always allowed. This way, you'll enjoy the treatment for as long as possible!
Safety
Hyaluronic acid is one of the building blocks of the skin. It ensures better hydration and elasticity of the skin. The body recognizes hyaluronic acid, which makes the chance of an allergic or foreign body reaction to a hyaluronic acid filler extremely small. If a small accumulation or asymmetry has occurred in the face after the treatment, you don’t need to worry. This can usually be massaged away easily. Furthermore, hyaluronic acid is the only filler that can be actively dissolved. We provide you with a customized result and can dissolve any excess filler with Hyason if necessary.
The doctors at Dikrama Clinics are BIG-registered (members of the NVDV, NVCD, and NHG) and only use A-brand Botulinum Toxins and wrinkle fillers.
Safety is one of the most important criteria we use to select our wrinkle fillers and Botulinum Toxins. These large numbers indicate that the chance of unexpected complications is very small.
